In Ningbo, total import and export value exceeded US $ 50 billion in 2007. It is a historical stride, making Ningbo the first city in Zhe Jiang to reach this goal. On Dec.12, Ningbo Government held press conference and announced that from Jan to Nov, total import and export value reached US $ 51.43 billion, up 35.8% over the same period of last year. In 2004, Ningbo had this value exceeding US $ 20 billion. In 3 years, this value increases by 10 million per year.
